Our History
Our roots as a fresh produce wholesaler in Cornwall go back as far as 1856, making our wholesale trade business WestCountry one of the oldest established and trusted produce trading businesses in the region, and in the UK.
WestCountry are the leading wholesaler of local, regional and imported fresh produce in the South West of England. We supply customers across the private and public sectors, ranging from small cafés and independent retailers, through to the region’s leading fine dining restaurants and hotels.
We grow fresh produce at our own farm on 20 acres of sunny south facing slopes near Mylor in South Cornwall. Canara Farm takes us back to our earthy roots as a high-class primary grower of fresh produce here in the far south west. Production at our farm includes the famous restaurant supplied ‘Lizard Leaf Baby Leaf' salad mix throughout the summer.
