Favourite part of the Job:

I love every aspect of growing veg from planting, to cutting, to packing ... even eating it!

Favourite food:

A roast dinner with plenty of my own veg, followed by my own strawberries.

Favourite place:

The Great Barrier Reef, Australia.

Favourite season:

The summer because its frantically busy!

Why I like V&M:

I like working with Veggies & More because they are always keen for me to grow new produce and have helped me to grow my business.

Favourite produce to grow and why:

Cauliflowers, because that was how it all started three generations ago.

Unusual fact:

I seem to be the only farmer left who enjoys cutting veg!

What would you do differently?

I would have branched out and grown a wider range of produce from the outset.

What can you share about your practices?

I largely use cow dung as a fertilizer, which reduces the artificial nitrogen required, therefore enhancing the flavour of our produce.

COVID 19 specific question – what’s the most positive thing you will take away from this time?

I taught my wife and children how to cut cauliflower during lockdown.
